A visit to this complex of exquisite traditional Thai houses, set in beautiful gardens, gives you an insight into the appreciation of arts and gardening by members of the royal family. Set in a lush space in Bangkok’s downtown, Suan Pakkad Palace is home to eight Thai teak pavilions once belonged to Prince and Princess Chumbhot of Nagara Svagar and their descendents. Be impressed with the collection of beautiful authentic Thai architecture, artifacts as well as 4,000-year-old historical antiques from Udon Thani’s Ban Chiang pre-historic district and an exhibition of surrealist art masterpieces from veteran artist Princess Marsi Paribatra, a daughter of Prince Chumbhot, who’s now lives in France at the Chumbhot-Pantip Center of Arts building.
